We learned all about the Way of Water last December with the Avatar sequel, but Ubisoft is looking to bring us to the world of Pandora through a different lens with the upcoming game Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.
Just in, we have a new trailer for the game showcasing the story, and we also have a gameplay overview giving us a great idea of the world and what to expect from the game. First off, the trailer:
The official description reads:
Set in the never-before-seen Western Frontier of Pandora, you play as a child of two worlds, born Na’vi but raised by the RDA. Fifteen years later, you are free, but find yourself a stranger in your birthplace. Reconnect with your lost heritage, discover what it truly means to be Na’vi, and join other clans to protect Pandora from the RDA.
The story is said to take place after the events of the first Avatar, so it’s very possible we could run into some familiar characters like Jake Sully who would have completely let go of his human identity to live among the Pandoran natives.
The story of this game’s lead is kind of the same, but instead of being a human in a different Na’vi body, we have a native Na’vi character who was raised by the humans and is now reconnecting with their roots.

A lot of people online like to bash Avatar for being a ‘forgettable’ movie, but with the game releasing and several other movies planned, we could be looking at Avatar transforming into one mega box office franchise that could rival The Avengers.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora is set to release for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5 on Dec. 7.
