Despite it’s popularity, fans know that the Nintendo Switch isn’t really capable of playing AAA games, but it looks like one of the most celebrated DC titles is going to be coming to the platform.
As announced at the recent Nintendo Direct event, Batman: Arkham Trilogy is going to be coming to the Nintendo Switch. Here’s the reveal trailer:
Batman: Arkham Trilogy comes to Nintendo Switch this Fall.
All three games. All DLC. One complete package.
Enjoy Rocksteady Studio’s critically-acclaimed superhero trilogy wherever you go. Become the Dark Knight in Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight.
Though Arkham Asylym and Arkham City have been not so demanding when it comes to specs, it’s kind of amazing how they’re going to be bringing on Arkham Knight to the platform. Granted we should expect a downgrade in graphics when it comes to the Nintendo Switch, but the games have always been lauded more for gameplay and story—specifically Arkham City.
With Rocksteady currently receiving flak for their upcoming Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game, maybe a release of their more beloved titles could remind fans why they became such a well-regarded studio in the first place.
We don’t know how long they can keep coasting on the Arkham titles, but if Bethesda can milk Skyrim for as long as they can, I wouldn’t doubt Rocksteady doing the same thing with their Batman games.
Batman: Arkham Trilogy comes to the Nintendo Switch this fall. All games are currently available for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, and PC.
