Another Clone Wars Character To Make Live-Action Debut in The Book of Boba Fett

Though we won’t get a third season of The Mandalorian this year, we are getting a show focused on the OG Mando Boba Fett. With Mando giving us the live-action debut of Ahsoka Tano, The Book of Boba Fett will give us the debut of one other fan-favorite bounty hunter.

As per LRMonline, a source has shared that bounty hunter Cad Bane will be making an appearance in Boba’s spinoff show. We don’t have any details besides that, but his return has been teased with his guest-starring role in The Bad Batch. We also know that he has history with Boba and Fennec Shand (Ming-Na Wen), who we saw sitting next to Boba during the Mandalorian post-credits.

Much like Boba, Cad Bane was a formidable bounty hunter that could hold his own against Jedi. He’s teamed up with multiple other bounty hunters before like Aurra Sing, and even Darth Maul. He also walks around with a bumbling droid sidekick named Todo 360.

Aesthetically speaking, Bane pretty much resembles a Wild West outlaw, complete with the wide-brimmed hat and trench coat. He also has breathing tubes attached to his face, and comes with the usual bounty hunter gear from rocket boots to a flamethrower.

We don’t know which part of the timeline The Book of Boba Fett will take place, but it would be great to see how Cad Bane has been doing at the time of The Mandalorian. If anything, it would be great to see him clash with some characters that we’ve met before, like Bo-Katan, or even a returning Maul from Solo: A Star Wars Story.

The Book of Boba Fett is set to come out on Disney+ sometime later this year.
