Though Solo: A Star Wars Story underperformed when it came out in the box office, the movie is still widely loved by the fans who actually saw it. With the movie getting more attention after a release on Disney+, Alden Ehrenreich comments on possibly returning as the galaxy’s favorite smuggler.

When asked about a Han Solo return by Esquire, Ehrenreich replied, “It depends on what it is. It depends on how it’s done. It depends if it feels innate to the story.” When asked about a potential sequel, Ehrenreich said, “No, I don’t know anything about that. I mean, you know, I think our movie was kind of the last of the conventional-era Star Wars movie release time… I’ve heard soooome stuff, but nothing concrete.”

For now, Ehrenreich is set to star in another sci-fi title, Brave New World, and he’ll be playing the part of John the Savage. He even compares his new character to Han, saying that he’s the character in the story that kind of just reacts to everything weird going around him.

I absolutely loved Ehrenreich as the new Solo, and I thought he really made the character his own rather than just do a Harrison Ford impression. Though Lucasfilm has no current plans for a sequel, a lot of people online have been clamoring to #MakeSolo2Happen. They may not get Snyder Cut numbers, but hopefully the Disney+ release will get more fans onboard.

Catch Ehrenreich in Brave New World when it premieres on Peacock on July 15.
