Adam DeVine continues to be the biggest star out of the Workaholics trio, and he’s teamed up with Netflix for an action-comedy heist movie with The Out-Laws.
The film is set to premiere next month, and Netflix has just dropped a fun new trailer. Watch this:
The official description reads:
Owen Browning (Adam Devine) is a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker (Nina Dobrev). When his bank is held up by the infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws (Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin) who just arrived in town, are the infamous Out-Laws.
Though DeVine is best known for his comedy roles, he’s recently been getting parts where he plays the lead in a rom-com. With The Out-Laws though, it looks like he’s going to be coming back to the action genre. He dabbled in action with Game Over, Man! reuniting with his Workaholics co-stars, and the trailer even gives us a look at Blake Anderson sharing a scene with DeVine.
For all this talk on DeVine, we also shouldn’t forget that Pierce Brosnan and Ellen Barkin are in the film. I’m sure the two can pull of sexy action, as they were the icons of that brand during their prime. There’s even a cheeky little Bond reference with Brosnan, which I think is just one of several.
Catch The Out-Laws when it premieres on Netflix on July 7.
