Ali Wong and Steven Yeun are actors at both ends of the entertainment spectrum, with one being an accomplished comedian, and the other a celebrated dramatic actor; but now the two are going to be paired up for a rivalry of cinematic proportions with Netflix’s upcoming Beef.
Just in, we have a new clip from the movie, and it essentially shows the start of the fight between Danny (Yeun) and Amy (Wong). Watch this:

The trailers have been pretty extensive with showing just how far the feud between Danny and Amy go, but this clip is important in that it’s the interaction that starts the whole fight. What I love is that the two don’t even know what the other looks like, but Danny already starts his obsession by memorizing Amy’s license plate.
I’ll admit, the premise of the series kind of has Neighbors written all over it, but with A24 attached to the project, we can expect this film to be a bit more on the artsy side. Besides I think Wong and Yeun are spectacular talents, and I can’t wait to see them go-to-head onscreen as things just keep escalating between the two—who are probably angrier at something else rather than the other person.
Beef premieres on Netflix on April 6.
